Much-folded and worn document created for Jacques Frautschi (signed Jacob Frautschi) on 21 May 1842. Jacob Frautschi used this passport to travel from Switzerland to Paris. Some of the writing and print from the reverse sides can be seen through on the facing pages.
Original document in the collection of the Max Kade Institute for German-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
