Text of Receipt for a Grave Stone for Mary Elise, Wife of Jacob Frautschi, 1866


Franklin Sauk Co. Wis. August 19, 1866

I have this day bought of T. B. Sponner, of Whitewater, Wis., one set of

RUTLAND MARBLE GRAVE STONES; Head Stone about 4 feet and __ inches long,

and about 18 inches wide. Foot stone of suitable size. Head Stone inscribed as follows:


Mary Elise wife of Jacob Frautschi

Born May 28d 1814 Died Feb. 3d 1866

White marble. Socket to be a good job

to be delivered at Felters yd at new Cath. Ch. 8 am n. Spring Green on or about the 15th Oct 1866 for which I agree to pay Thirty-five Dollars on delivery.
