Summary:
Johann writes about the health concerns of family members, thanks Christian for the wedding gift he sent for Ida's wedding, and expresses regret that no one from Christian's family could have attended the wedding. He asks about Adolf and whether Erwin has recovered, and sends Christmas greetings. A postscript notes that Schrumps has written from Denver, saying that he has not yet recovered.
