Summary:

Johann writes to say that he received the card and the 25.5 gallons of wine Christian sent. He reports on business in the city and the harvest in Minnesota, and mentions that he is visiting stores in the city to ask about a possible position for Christian's son Emil. Johann asks that Emil write a letter in English and sent it along, as that would be helpful to show to prospective employers.
