Summary:

Johann writes that they have had another baby boy born to their family, making three boys and four girls. They have sold their property in Norwood, Minnesota, but do not yet know where they will go. Although business has been good in Norwood, they feel that most of the people of the area are inclined to drink, and they wish to raise their children in a better environment. He also awaits news of their brother Johannes.
