This letter was written by John J. Frautschi and sent from Elisabeth Town, Pelican River, Otter Tail County, Minnesota, to his brother Christian in Madison, Wisconsin. Summary:

Johann writes instructions for his brother Johan Peter to journey by train from Madison to St. Paul, and then from St. Paul to Breckenridge. Breckenridge is about twenty-two miles from Elisabeth Town. Apparently Johan Peter will be bringing Elise Bluhm along with him. Johann Jacob writes about the first death to occur in Elisabeth Town.
