About the Image:
Marie Elise Perín was born 28 May 1814, and was baptised in 1815 in
the parish of Briel. This document, in French, is an "excerpt" from
the church records, signed 16 February 1843 by Father Derodes. Marie Elise may
have needed this document in conjunction with her marriage to Johann Jakob Frautschi,
whom she wed on 23 March 1843.
Original document in the collection of the Max Kade Institute for German-American
Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
